Ty Stimpson is a highly-regarded trial attorney who leads Varghese Summersett Injury Law Group, where he combines his passion for the law with his compassion for helping people who have had their lives shattered through no fault of their own.
Ty is a battle-tested attorney and skilled negotiator committed to getting justice and compensation for victims who are suffering due to the negligent or wrongful acts of others. He represents victims of catastrophic car wrecks, 18-wheeler accidents, motorcycle crashes, dangerous products, workplace injuries, and other serious injury or wrongful death cases in North Texas. Ty is a fierce advocate for his clients, working tirelessly to ensure that their rights are protected and that their voices are heard.
Make no mistake, Ty – a former Division 1 football player – is not afraid to stand up to big insurance companies and will never back down from a trial. He’s a strong believer in the power of the civil (and criminal) justice system and how it can hold wrongdoers accountable and make families whole again.
A native Texan, Ty grew up in Arlington and graduated from Baylor University, where he played linebacker. He received his Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University and his Masters of Law Degree from St. John’s University School of Law while working with the National Football League.
After law school, Ty returned to North Texas. He began his legal career as a prosecutor – first at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and later at the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office. During his years of public service, he handled hundreds of cases, ranging from capital murder to identity theft. The wealth of knowledge and experience he gained as a chief criminal prosecutor positioned him perfectly to pursue justice for those who have been wrongfully injured or killed.
As he transitioned to private practice, Ty built a reputation for being a go-to personal injury attorney due to his exceptional negotiation and trial skills. He has been named a Top Attorney for Personal Injury by Fort Worth Magazine and 360 West Magazine. He is also a National Trial Lawyer Top 40 Under 40 member. Recently, he received the 2023 Dr. Marion Brooks “Legend in the Making” Award for Law by the Beta Tau Lambda Charitable Foundation and the Beta Tau Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
When he is not in the office or courtroom, you will find Ty out in the community, giving back in any way he can.

In his free time, Ty enjoys playing golf, attending sporting events, and spending time with his family.
