Personal Injury Lawyer

We are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Attorney who is dedicated to pursuing exceptional results for clients going through some of the most difficult times of their lives. Core Responsibilities

As a personal injury attorney at Varghese Summersett, you will handle cases from intake through pre-litigation to litigation. Specific tasks include:

Pre-Litigation:
- Manage all phases of personal injury cases from intake to settlement.
- Conduct legal research and provide comprehensive answers based on the facts of the case and applicable law.
- Draft legal documents, including complaints, discovery requests, motions, and briefs.
- Perform detailed case investigations to ascertain liability and quantify damages.
- Represent clients in settlement conferences and mediation.
- Ensure clients remain well-informed on the progress of their cases.
Litigation:
- Superior trial preparation and organizational skills.
- Develop and discuss trial strategies based on analysis of case facts and legal precedents.
- Utilize lay and expert witnesses and evidence effectively.
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Prepare clients and witnesses for deposition, providing guidance on effective testimony techniques.
- Analyze deposition transcripts to extract critical information for case strategy.
- Utilize deposition findings to negotiate settlements or strengthen the case for trial.
- Gather and exchange evidence: Use the discovery process to collect all relevant documents, records, and evidence.
- Conduct depositions: Arrange and conduct depositions of involved parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Request and review interrogatories: Draft and submit interrogatories.
- File and respond to requests for admissions.

We are looking for a full-time Family Law Paralegal. The candidate must have a positive attitude and

The Family Law Paralegal will be the first point of contact with all callers and visitors, including potential and current clients, so exceptional phone skills and demeanor are a must. Daily Job Duties:

Promptly respond to client questions and messages by phone, email or through our case management platform.
Contact clients about court settings, payments, case progression, and reviews.
Maintain and update documents related to client accounts.
Coordinate calls, meetings, and communications between attorneys and clients and potential clients.
Follow-up on all overnight or missed calls intercepted by the answering service in a timely manner.
Promptly follow up with potential clients.
Maintain attorneys’ schedules and calendars.
Draft and e-file letters and motions on behalf of attorneys.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and patiently guide them through a difficult process.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with court staff.

Varghese Summersett is looking for a motivated, self-starter with exceptional communications skills to join our intake team. The position’s focus is to confidently present information about our criminal defense practice and attorneys to potential clients with the goal of encouraging the decision to hire our firm. This position requires strong communication skills by phone, text, email and through our secure client portal. Our intake specialists must be able to manage a high call volume and work effectively on a deadline.

Daily Job Duties:

Are you a college student looking for a part-time position managing social media?

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic social media intern to join our marketing team. Candidates should be able to work at least 15 hours a week at our busy downtown Fort Worth office. This opportunity is ideal for students or recent graduates in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, advertising or digital media. The marekting/social media intern will be responsible for creating social media posts on all platforms, planning social media calendars, and assisting with marketing campaigns. The right candidate must be passionate about social media and be able to work as a team, as well as independently. The internship will be in-person with some remote work possible.

Writing and designing posts for our criminal and family law social media platforms that are engaging and consistent with our brand

Law Student Intern

Internships offer the opportunity to work with our career trial attorneys and assist clients who are facing the biggest problems in their lives. Outstanding law students and undergraduate students on the pre-law track come to Varghese Summersett for the opportunity to train with our attorneys. Interns perform a variety of tasks ranging from research to assisting with trial prep. We offer paid positions throughout the year. Interns typically work around 20 hours a week during the spring and fall semesters and up to 30 hours a week during the summer.
